Bioforce Laatre OÜ, a subsidiary of Bioforce Group, is constructing a new biomethane production facility in the village of Laatre, Valga County, with an annual production capacity of 23,000 MWh. SEB is funding the project with a €6 million green loan.
The total project cost is €9.4 million, and the plant is scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2024. The facility will primarily use manure from Laatre Piim AS and Kesa-Agro OÜ to fully meet the plant’s projected output capacity. Biomethane produced will be transported to Tallinn’s CNG stations to supply the city’s CNG buses.
“Bioforce Laatre will be our third biomethane production plant. We are pleased with the outstanding collaboration with all partners, which has significantly contributed to the project’s swift development and construction,” said Bioforce representative Siim Tenno. “We would especially like to thank SEB for their belief in our mission and their support in financing this project,” he added.
